Frequently asked questions

Home / Frequently asked questions

What does the work cost?

It depends on the harp and the work involved. Tell us what you have in mind and we will give you a clear price.

Can you restore an old harp?

Often, yes. We restore old and tired harps to play, keeping as much of the original as we sensibly can. We will assess it and advise.

Can you repair cracks and loose joints?

Usually, yes. Cracks, loose joints and tired parts can often be put right. Show us the harp and we will advise.

Can you string and set up my harp?

Yes. We string and set up harps so they play well, with the tension and levers set right.

Do you build new harps?

Yes. We build lever and Celtic harps by hand, made to sing evenly. Tell us what you have in mind and we will advise and prepare a quote.

How do we get started?

Ask us to look at your harp or visit the workshop. We assess it, advise and give you a clear price before any work.

Can you fit or adjust levers?

Yes. We fit and adjust levers, tuning pins and fittings, so the harp plays true across the range.
